Size: 26x23x3,5 cm

Outer cover formed by two wooden boards binded with fake leather to the heavy cardboard spine; seventeen pages printed on "Tintoretto" 95g paper, four 240g parchment paper leaves, and two heavy cardboard panels, all glued and punctured along their inner margin and secured with a natural fibre rope to the outer spine.
The book includes full liner notes of each disc, plus a section dedicated to all lyrics, poems and some writings.

Roberto Opalio's 'Alienology' illustration printed in full colors on front cover board.
Opax Editions' logo handstamped in black ink on the back cover board.
Pencilled signature by both artists on inner front board; handnumbered.

"Il Lungo Inverno" ('The Long Winter') is not a soloist project, but a four-hand collaborative project by brothers Maurizio and Roberto Opalio. The juxtaposition of visual matter and sonic matter is intended to be creative and enlightening. The artists' establishment of a relationship of consonance or dissonance between each other's work generates an expansion of the entire work of art, interacting with the true and proper creative impulse. The visual work of one artist relates to the musical work of the other, as a creative action responding to a creative action. In the more and more desolate and desolating landscape of this beginning of the third millennium.

'The last night of the Angel of Glass' is a film by Roberto Opalio, here presented as a 'silent version' on DVD in its entirety (1 hour 30 minutes)
The complete soundtrack was transferred on two lathe cut LPs manufactured in 9 copies by Peter King in New Zealand.
The artist recommends to play the LPs and the DVD simultaneously.

The set is made of:

An original acrylic painting on canvas by Roberto Opalio (45x65 cm), numbered and signed by the artist
Three heavy cardboard panels (50x30 cm each) of Italian superior quality cardboard in pure wood pulp, with LP records and DVD mounted on
Title and poem handwritten by the artist
Paste-on insert and handmade die-cut panels by Maurizio Opalio
Two double pieces of wood (41x4 cm) as clamps to hold the set together.
Individually handnumbered and signed by the artist.

Both film and music were recorded by Roberto Opalio at home in Torino, Italy on November 1st, 2005; the artist set his 8mm camera on the balcony and filmed his own glass art creation entitled 'The Angel of Glass' animated by the soft light of a candle under a blackened sky.
